Specialized in gastrointestinal endoscopy and surgical treatment, the earliest expert in China to carry out EUS diagnosis of lower gastrointestinal disease, application of NBI system in lower digestive tract, and EMR, ESD treatment for early digestive cancer and submucosal tumors , particularly Endoscopic Submucosal Excavation (ESE) and Endoscopic Full-thickness Resection (EFR) for submucosal tumor, the first expert nationwide to carry out Per-oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) to treat esophageal achalasia in 2010 with nearly 30 cases till now. Main author of "endoscopic submucosal dissection" and "endoscopic treatment of upper gastrointestinal diseases", first author of over 90 medical articles, author of 15 large medical monographs.
Visiting Cornell University and the Medical University of South Carolina in the United States in 2007 as visiting scholar; participation in various academic conferences home and abroad with presentation and live demonstration.
